About Ember House

Ember House, operated by The Phoenix Method, provides a clean, sober, and family-style environment where recovering adults can rebuild their lives. With on-site management and a focus on accountability, Ember House offers safety, stability, and support during the recovery journey.

Our Program

  • Safe and sober housing with on-site management
  • Structured living with curfews and accountability
  • Participation in self-help programs (12-Step, SMART Recovery, yoga, mindfulness, faith-based)
  • Encouragement for work, school, or treatment programs
  • Regular house meetings and community support

House Expectations

  • Sobriety first: no drugs, alcohol, or misuse of prescriptions (testing may occur)
  • Respect & responsibility toward fellow guests and staff
  • Curfews: 10 PM weekdays, midnight weekends; overnight passes after 30 days
  • Shared responsibility for clean living spaces
  • Visitors welcome 8 AM–9 PM (sober, common areas only)

We currently work with the following outpatient programs in North County: McAlister North County Regional Recovery Center, Let’s Recover, Escondido, SOAP MAT, and Alternatives to Incarceration through UPAC. We are adding more every day so your stay may be fully compensated.
